HANASIS Participates in GITEX GLOBAL 2025 and Hosts ‘Partners Day’ Strengthening global partnerships and sharing a vision for next-generation POS innovation Smart-retail specialist HANASIS announced that it showcased next-generation POS and AI kiosk solutions at GITEX GLOBAL 2025, held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from the 13th to the 17th (local time). On the 15th, the company also hosted HANASIS Partners Day 2025 with key local partners to share strategies for deeper collaboration. GITEX is recognized as one of the world’s three major ICT exhibitions alongside CES and MWC. More than 6,500 companies from about 180 countries took part, presenting innovations across AI, semiconductors, robotics, fintech, and more. At the show, HANASIS unveiled a new lineup of retail devices, including next-generation POS terminals, AI-powered kiosks, and KDS (Kitchen Display System) for restaurants and kitchens. With slim, refined designs, efficiency enabled by automated production lines, and enhanced performance, the products attracted strong interest from buyers. Notably, more than 100 major buyers and distribution partners from the Middle East and Europe attended Partners Day on the 15th to discuss the new product roadmap, regional collaboration strategies, and directions for future joint initiatives. During the event, HANASIS presented plaques of appreciation to outstanding partners and announced joint projects to further expand its global presence. A HANASIS representative said, “Through our participation in GITEX and Partners Day, we have raised brand awareness not only in the Middle East but also in key regions such as Europe and Asia. By combining AI-based retail solutions with hardware innovation, we will step up as a central player in the global smart-retail ecosystem.”

Barrier-free self-service kiosks, designed for use by people with disabilities, the elderly, and others with limited access to information, are now being widely introduced at welfare facilities across the country. Starting January 28, 2025, newly installed kiosks and other unmanned terminals in establishments larger than approximately 50 square meters (about 15 pyeong) will be required by law to include barrier-free accessibility features. This agreement was established as a public-private partnership to address these new legal requirements and evolving kiosk usage environments. It aims to bridge the digital divide and enhance accessibility for information-vulnerable groups, including people with disabilities, by fostering a more inclusive digital environment. Barrier-free kiosks equipped with features such as keypad ordering with voice guidance, high-contrast screen mode, low-screen mode, and screen magnification are being introduced to welfare sites across the country. These features ensure accessibility for people with disabilities, the elderly, and others who may face challenges in accessing information. On July 22, KODDI(Korea Disabled People’s Development Institute) signed a business agreement with HANASIS and the Korea Association of Information for the Disabled at the Eroom Center in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. The agreement aims to promote the distribution and use of barrier-free kiosks. HANASIS donated 100 barrier-free kiosks and 60 monitors, with a total value of approximately KRW 400 million.
